Henning says:
I played a solo show last night at The Elevens here in Northampton,
MA.
I
was opening up the night for The Claudia Malibu and The Everyones.
It was a quiet night, I played to probably 12 or 15 people (thank
you, those of you who came, I greatly appreciate it). It was pretty
nice. My back was still pretty achey and weak and half way through
my set, I pulled a stool up onto the stage and sat down. That
helped a lot.
It
was really nice to play a show again, it seems like we haven't
been doing much of that. Not nearly enough of it. Not nearly.
The
crowd was great execpt for two guys who came in from "the
other side" and proceeded to stand by the bar and talk. At
one point, in between songs, I just stood silently on stage and
everyone else in the room was silent and you could just hear these
two guys talking. They were oblivious. We all just sat there and
listened to them. Pretty funny.
Then
half way through my last song they left.
The
Claudia Malibu was great, unfortunately, I needed to get home
and lie down on the floor, so I missed a good part of their set
and I saw nonoe of The Everyones. I felt bad leaving since there
was hardly anybody there, but I really didn't have much choice.
I
want to play more shows either solo or with the band. More.
